14-Day Cycle Hainan Island

This two-wheeled Hainan Adventure will show you the different faces of this tropical island — exotic wildlife, lush rainforest, quint fishing villages, sizzling street food, golden beaches, bustling towns, and the lovely local islanders.

You’ll ride around the whole island, start from Hainan’s provincial capital city Haikou in the north, ride along the wildly beautiful west coast of Hainan, then head to the central mountain area to get a slice of the authentic minority life, before riding along the stunning west coast all the way back to Haikou.

We have designed this bike trip route in an anti-clockwise direction – ride from west coast to east coast, as opposed to many domestic tourism biking route, most of which ride clock-wisely, here’s the reason why:

In China, people drive or ride on the right side of the ride. When cycle from west coast to east coast of Hainan, the beaches and ocean are always on your right side, without the blocking of traffic.
What’s more, the east coast of Hainan is more developed than the west coast. Start from the west coast, you could avoid the crowds of the road/hotel/restaurant as much as possible in the peak season.

The bike trails are varied along the way, from flat and easy beachside roads, down to quiet winding countryside lanes, and over some seriously challenging mountain passes.

Ride on to see the island, you’ll be amazed.
